Emotional Intelligence for Men

This module has a two-fold purpose. One purpose is to provide the pastor, pastoral counselor or the secular counselor with ways to get from the man, what is trapped in, out. The other purpose is to help the participant look into his own life and assess whether or not we are as aware of our emotions, as well as the emotions of others. The title of the book that guides this module is, “Grow Up.” At the end of the day, all of us (men) have some growing up to do, but we can’t do that without some guidance and direction. Mindfulness is a key player in this module. The other purpose and goal for this module is to provide female counselors or clergy, with tools necessary for better understanding the emotions of men and help to minister or counsel or minister to beyond in ways that go beyond "surface" talk. 

The Roles of Emotional Intelligence and Spiritual Intelligence at the Workplace

Spiritual intelligence is the set of abilities that individuals use to apply, manifest and embody spiritual resources, values and qualities in ways that enhance their daily functioning and well-being. With both these intelligences happening in the workplace, the environment will be more conducive. A better working environment relates to a higher level of productivity (Chin, Tong, 2011). In this module, we will examine both the emotional intelligence integrated with the spirit man and apply it to the workplace as well as the church.

The goals of the program are:

- To increase awareness of the need for healthy boundaries in the clergy-congregant or teacher-student relationship

- To provide clergy and spiritual teachers with guidelines and suggestions for developing appropriate boundaries and necessary self-care strategies

- To illustrate the impact of appropriate vs. inappropriate boundaries in promoting effective ministry (The Healthy Boundaries Workbook).

The Transformational Principles for Soul Care

In order for a church to be healthy, the leader(s) of the church must also be healthy. In this module, guided by the book bearing the same title, Rob Reimer guides us through 7 core principles that helps us to transform into that person who has Christ at the center of their soul in spite of their brokenness. The core principles that will be explored are:
